Your comfort throughout the design process - from our first meeting to project conclusion - is my top service priority. Our working together is a learning and sharing experience.

First Meeting

Our first meeting is simply to acquaint ourselves: to become comfortable with one another. My focus is to attain a general understanding of what you have in mind and would like to accomplish regarding your surroundings. My initial visit with you provides an opportunity to gain a sense of your tastes, style preferences and aesthetic aspirations. I listen to you to learn how, where and when you prefer to meet and communicate. I will describe how I plan to work with you, my services and the depth of my resources and experience. We will discuss how a budget is a vital tool to help you determine realistically what your planned financial investment can achieve.

Engagement Letter

Soon after our meeting, I will prepare and send to you an Engagement Letter which covers what we should expect from one another. The letter provides details of my rates and fees and working with my sources, including fabric, furniture, rug, lighting, hardware, workroom, and other material/supply contractors and vendors.

Illustrations, Scheduling and Contact

As needed during the design engagement, I will prepare floor plans, storyboards and other illustration media for you. I will always provide you with cost estimates and expected time schedules for your approval before work begins. Whether by direct meeting, phone, email or texting, I make myself available to you whenever reasonably possible. “The more immediate the feedback, the better!”

Project Involvement

Throughout the project, I am on site with you, or others, during important moments of delivery and installation. From initial order placement to completion, I oversee my own contractors and vendors. If we use yours, I am always glad to provide oversight to them. Throughout the engagement, I inspect and review procurements and implementations. With an emphasis on timeliness, I follow-up with all contractors and suppliers.

Showrooms

During the design process, visits to my local, NYC and out-of-area showrooms are frequent. At times, based on your availability, I might ask you to join me. Such trips often reveal many possibilities that lead to your aesthetic aspiration.

New Work

As your projects progress and are completed, we can begin to plan on your next one whether it will follow immediately or later on.
